From the Hotel- 6/12/11

Hello hello!

Welcome to my *new and improved* Bike and Build Blog! Stay tuned for musings from behind the handlebars of my beautiful, shiny white Giant Bike ____. Give me a few weeks and we'll have one sweet name for her.

Well, in three days I'll dip her tires in the Atlantic and begin a cross country adventure with a group of fabulous young people. We'll ridle from Providence to Seattle, biking and building our way across good ol 'amurica. How am I feeling? Exhausted. Wondering how I made it alive from home to NYC to home to Providence in 48 hours. Anxious. Nervous. Ridiculously excited. Hoping I packed everything.

A few things:
-Send me your snail mail addresses! I'll send postcards!

-Check out my mail drops and send some lovin'

-I will be in ITHACA on June 22nd!  For our complete route..

Check back every few days as I share my story and the stories of those I meet and help along the way.
I guarentee much wittier and more entertaining posts as my brain catches up with my body- I think I left it at home..- and I pedal to Seattle!

Cheers, and be well,
Muffin

  6. this is SO exciting!!! i love the fact that you're doing this and am with you vicariously. i'm so sorry about that accident you mentioned in your e-mail ... lucky that it wasn't more serious but fracturing a bone (or was it a sprain) in your wrist doesn't sound too great. hope it heals very very soon ...

    ps this is carla!!
